Topic: Assembly/BOM (comments)

By: Guest | Posted on: Mar 15 2025 at 05:17:44 PM | Some metal surface finishing processes plays an important role in our custom manufacturing process (electroplating, chemical treatment, anodic oxidation, painting, thermal praying, …).
When creating an Assembly/BOM we would like to be able to specify (even as a comment) this information for “some” of the parts in the assembly which “may” require this type of treatments (even if the treatment is not a “permanent” attribute of the part in the database).
Is there any way to address this request? | |
By: Ken at DTS | Posted on: Mar 20 2025 at 01:24:42 PM | Consider using the Reference Designator ("Ref/Pos") field. The Ref/Pos field is a text field that is tied to each Part in an Assembly, and is not a attribute of the Part. | |
